The Miami 100 miler offers a challenging urban ultramarathon experience, taking runners through some of Miami’s most vibrant neighborhoods and scenic spots. Participants will navigate through bustling areas like Wynwood, Miami Beach, and Calle Ocho, and explore historical neighborhoods and farmlands. Runners will rely entirely on their crew or, if they're veterans of the race, can choose to run unsupported with drop bags, tackling the route armed only with directional cards and step-by-step instructions provided at each checkpoint. The course promises a unique experience, both in its requirement for runners to carefully follow directions to checkpoints and the absence of aid stations, adding to the challenge and appeal. With vehicular traffic to contend with throughout the course, participants must observe pedestrian laws as they make their way across 100 miles of Miami’s hidden and well-known gems, ensuring a race that is not only physically demanding but also a test of navigation and endurance.
