The Devil’s Backbone is a rugged 50-mile mountain run for seasoned backcountry athletes. The route features significant elevation gain and technical, exposed terrain along the Gallatin Crest, offering sweeping views and the challenge of rapidly changing mountain weather. Participants must be self-sufficient, bringing their own food, water, navigation, and emergency gear, and be prepared for all conditions. This is a true test of endurance and preparedness in a raw wilderness setting.
