This challenging mountain race takes runners from Mountain Creek Campground up the formidable slopes of Mt Bogong, Victoria's highest peak. After a significant climb, participants descend the rugged T-Spur to cross the Big River, immediately followed by another strenuous ascent via Duane's Spur that leads to the expansive Bogong High Plains. The course continues as runners pass through Langford Gap, the main aid station, before venturing further across the picturesque high plains. From there, the route descends toward the Cobungra River, followed by a final demanding climb up Swindler's Spur, ultimately culminating at the summit of Mt Hotham. The event is renowned for its relentless elevation changes, technical terrain, and breathtaking alpine scenery.
