Huntsville Run Fest’s 50K is a demanding mountain trail race on the McMullen Cove trail system, following a loop of mostly shaded singletrack with some doubletrack and repeating it for the full distance. The course mixes steep climbs, technical footing, rugged descents, and faster runnable stretches, with substantial elevation gain that makes it a true test of legs, lungs, and grit. Despite the challenge, the route is designed to be rewarding, balancing tough mountain running with scenic flow through deep forest.
