The Dark Divide 100 Miler promises an expedition through the breathtaking and remote wilderness of the Central Washington Cascades. Starting and ending at the Cispus Learning Center, the race trails through the Gifford-Pinchot National Forest, presenting deep, isolated valleys with ancient trees and ridges adorned with wildflowers. Participants will enjoy unparalleled views of Mount Adams, Mount Rainier, and Mount Saint Helens, immersing them in untouched natural beauty. This challenging course features over 26,000 feet each of ascent and descent, taking runners through the untamed terrain of the Dark Divide Roadless Area. With a generous 38-hour cutoff, participants are encouraged to embrace the formidable landscape and truly earn their finisher’s buckle. Nestled in the heart of ancestral lands, the spirit of the Taidnapam, Stl’pulmsh, and Pshwánwapam peoples hovers throughout this stunning and rugged journey.
