About
Set in Michigan's remote northeastern Upper Peninsula, the Two Hearted River inspired Hemingway's "The Big Two Hearted River." This area, renowned for trout fishing, boasts an extraordinary Lake Superior shoreline. Participants of the 50K and Marathon will tackle the rugged coast on single tracks atop high bluffs and through intimate shoreline forests. The course also meanders along Culhane Lake and the Little Two Hearted River. The route is comprised of 80% single track and 20% dirt forest roads or two tracks. It's a journey that deeply reconnects runners with nature. All races conclude at the iconic Upper Tahquamenon Falls, the second highest east of the Mississippi.
