Philmont Scout Ranch is hosting its first race event, inviting participants to explore the scenic Sangre De Cristo mountains. Runners can choose from a Marathon and a 50 Mile race, both weaving through the picturesque southern section of the ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico. Each course concludes with a descent down the iconic Tooth of Time Ridge, ending at the celebrated "You Made It!" gate at the Base Camp. Spanning 140,000 acres, Philmont offers a high adventure experience with over 300 miles of trails. Known for its challenging backpacking treks, the camp traditionally caters to scouts, but this event provides a unique opportunity for racers to experience the rugged beauty and rich programs of Philmont Scout Ranch.
