Run the Blades takes runners through the scenic and rugged landscape of Whitelee Wind Farm, the UK's largest onshore site near Glasgow. The routes navigate challenging moorland and woodland paths, offering sights of impressive wind turbines and vistas of Glasgow, with glimpses of Northern Ireland's coast on clear days. The event highlights the area's diverse wildlife, such as birds, adders, and deer, and benefits from the support of the Whitelee Countryside Ranger Service and the welcoming Eaglesham community.
