Participants must navigate a demanding course of approximately 50 miles within a strict time limit of 26 hours to complete and 18 hours to earn the coveted GBF Dog Tag. Before starting, candidates gather at the Vivian Park Trailhead for an event briefing and equipment checks, ensuring they carry essential gear, including waterproof maps. The course features a combination of trails and minor roads, allowing candidates to maintain a steady pace. With a mandatory backpack weight of at least 20 lbs (excluding food and water), this race tests both physical fitness and mental resilience, pushing participants to their limits in the stunning natural landscape.
