The Barrel to Keg Relay covers 69 miles through Oregon’s coastal backcountry, starting from Harris Bridge Vineyard in Philomath and ending at Rogue Brewery in Newport. Teams journey through scenic rolling farmland, forest roads, and riverside paths alongside the Yaquina River, encountering both natural beauty and a variety of terrain challenges along the route. With an energetic and supportive atmosphere, the relay is known for its creative costumes, inventive team names, and community spirit. Participants enjoy a festive experience, from a pre-race campout at the vineyard to the camaraderie of relay teamwork. Proceeds from the event benefit the Community Services Consortium, supporting local anti-poverty initiatives.
