About

The Jed Smith Ultra Classic takes place on a USATF certified course similar to the one used in a record-setting World Masters Marathon. Runners cross both the Guy West Bridge at Sacramento State University and the Watt Bridge, completing a 4.85-mile loop. The course is fast and mainly flat, featuring paved bike paths and wide dirt trails along the scenic American River Parkway. Ideal for all runners, this event combines beautiful surroundings with strong support throughout the course, providing opportunities to enjoy the area or pursue personal or record-setting goals. Participants follow local parkway rules, staying left while cyclists keep to the right.
