The 50K course takes place entirely on single-track trails in Rock Bridge State Park, featuring diverse terrain and multiple creek crossings for an adventurous trail experience. Runners complete two loops of a challenging route that includes both the Devil’s Ice Box Trails and the Gans Creek Wild Area Trails, with a mix of technical sections and scenic woodland. Aid stations are provided every four miles and runners access their drop bags before the second loop. The event is cup-free, so participants must carry their own hydration. This race offers a classic, picturesque Midwestern trail ultra with some demanding elements for experienced runners.
